Senator Ned Nwoko, representing Delta North, has denied claims that he is seeking to reconcile with his estranged wife, Nollywood actress Regina Daniels.
The clarification comes after Daniels alleged that Nwoko had been sending family members to persuade her to reconcile, while also publicly criticizing her on social media. The actress’ claim was reportedly supported by her colleague, Doris Ogala, in an Instagram post.
Through his spokesperson, Nwoko dismissed the reconciliation claims, emphasizing that he has no intention of having Daniels return to his home. The senator further refuted her allegations of drug use and sexual misconduct, describing them as false and unprovable.
Nwoko attributed Daniels’ social media posts to ongoing drug influence. He revealed that his last WhatsApp message to her included an ultimatum: she must continue rehabilitation or he would stop funding her lifestyle. According to the senator, Daniels responded violently, damaging property and vehicles.
He also criticized Daniels for sharing a video online that showed him using the bathroom, calling the act shocking and inappropriate. Nwoko added that Daniels had been progressing in her rehabilitation until her recent birthday, during which she allegedly used hard drugs for four consecutive days with friends.
