Sammy Daniels, the brother of Nollywood actress Regina Daniels, has reportedly been arrested by the police while livestreaming on social media.
According to Naija News, the incident occurred on the Third Mainland Bridge in Lagos, where Sammy was said to be with a friend when security operatives approached them.
Viewers watching the live broadcast witnessed the moment before the video suddenly cut off.
The reason for the arrest remains unknown, as neither the police nor Regina Daniels has issued an official statement.
The development comes amid an ongoing public rift within the Daniels family.
During an Instagram live session, Regina Daniels alleged that her husband, billionaire politician Ned Nwoko, was responsible for the police action.
She also dismissed claims that her family stole $40,000 from Nwoko, stating that he does not keep cash at home.
Meanwhile, Senator Ned Nwoko has released documents and messages in response to allegations made by his wife.
Naija News reports that his team said the materials include a WhatsApp message dated October 17, alongside medical and therapy records and statements from staff.
The senator’s camp denied accusations of domestic abuse, describing them as an attempt to divert attention from long-standing health and behavioural issues.
They added that independent toxicology reports indicated the presence and misuse of multiple substances, backing concerns allegedly raised privately months before the matter became public.
