Popular media personality and broadcaster, Frank Edoho, has opened up about his failed marriages.
Speaking on the Tea With Tay podcast, the “Who Wants To Be A Millionaire” host revealed that despite his efforts, both his marriages did not work out because he never found his true soul mate.
Edoho explained that there is a difference between a soul mate and the love of your life. According to him, the love of your life is someone you think of when you hear the word “love,” but a soul mate is someone who understands you deeply even without speaking.
He said, “Maybe I’m not good at marriage, I must confess. The two women I had been married to are not my soul mates. Love of your life is different from your soul mate. The love of your life is the person who comes to your mind when you think of love. But your soul mate is someone who understands you even before you express yourself and you naturally align with.”
Frank emphasised that he gave his all in both marriages and would abandon everything to be there for his partners. However, he believes that sometimes, love fades and people fall out of love, and it’s not about blaming anyone for it.
He said, “I know that I went above and beyond for the two marriages. I carried my partner… I can abandon everything for her. But you don’t blame them for falling out of love with you.”
Sharing an example, Edoho spoke about former Brazilian footballer Kaka, who was divorced by his wife despite being a good man. He said, “Take the footballer Kaka for example, he’s Brazilian and looks as handsome as an Indian. Very handsome guy. Even when he retired from football, he was still handsome. But his wife divorced him. Do you know what she said? ‘He is too good’.”
Frank Edoho was previously married to Katherine Obiang before they parted ways in 2011. He later married Sandra Onyenaucheya in 2014.
