The wife of Aboy Chibuzor, a non-verbal autistic young man adopted by the founder of Omega Power Ministries, Apostle Chibuzor Chinyere, has clarified her personal background following public reactions to their marriage.
In a video interview shared on the pastor’s Facebook page, the newlywed stated that she is a widow and mother of three. She explained that her late husband is the father of her children. She also noted that she hails from Edo State and was raised in Rivers State.
Her remarks addressed misconceptions surrounding her marital history, which had become a subject of public debate after the wedding. Some commentators had questioned the circumstances of the union.
The marriage drew wider attention after Apostle Chinyere publicly sought a wife for Aboy, offering incentives including ₦10 million, a house, and an overseas trip.
Responding to criticism, the cleric apologised for any perceived offence, stating that he does not intend to degrade women. He added that Aboy’s condition requires constant care and expressed belief that the marriage would provide companionship and support.
