Popular TikTok content creator Peller has issued a public apology to Nigerians following his arrest and detention by the Lagos State Police Command over an alleged suicide attempt and reckless driving.
In a video shared online, Peller expressed regret over the incident and appealed for understanding. He said he was undergoing medical care and promised not to repeat such actions. He also noted that he would return online after completing his treatment.
Reports linked the incident to emotional distress following the end of his relationship with his girlfriend, Jarvis. Jarvis had earlier confirmed their breakup, citing concerns over Peller’s difficulty managing emotions.
Meanwhile, the Lagos State Police Command confirmed that Peller was arrested after an incident that authorities described as dangerous and life-threatening. According to the police, his conduct put other road users at risk.
The incident reportedly occurred on Sunday, December 14, 2025, along the Lekki-Epe Expressway, where Peller was seen driving recklessly while live-streaming on social media. The situation allegedly resulted in a serious road accident.
Police authorities said the case has been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) for further investigation. Peller is expected to be charged to court upon the conclusion of inquiries.
Reacting to the development, the Commissioner of Police, Olohundare Jimoh, cautioned social media influencers and content creators against promoting unsafe behaviour online. He stressed that the police would not tolerate actions that threaten public safety.
