Award-winning Nollywood actress, Funke Akindele, has made a surprising confession about her career.
Naija News reports that Funke, speaking at her recently organised event for creatives, ‘Creative Blueprint’, revealed that despite her success in the film industry, her colleague, Bimbo Akintola, makes her rethink her craft whenever they share the same space.
Speaking about the realities of staying at the top in Nollywood, Funke Akindele stated that some pressure comes with working alongside certain talents.
She said, “There’s only one actor that I always shake for then. If she acts, I rethink my career. Abimbola Akintola… she’s deep.
“That’s the actor that if you put me with, I’ll go and rethink my career. But I usually study her, all her reactions and modulations, and I told myself, Funke, keep learning.”
Meanwhile, Nollywood actor, Yomi Fabiyi, has shared why his relationship with Funke Akindele broke down.
He revealed they stopped communicating after he told her he had completed his house.
Fabiyi made the claim during a live TikTok session, where he spoke about his past friendship with Akindele and how things suddenly changed between them.
According to him, their bond had lasted for years, and he could not point to any issue or wrongdoing on his part that led to the silence.
He said the last time they spoke was on the day he mentioned that his house project had been completed.
