The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Dr. Nyesom Wike, has reaffirmed the commitment of President Bola Tinubu’s administration to all-round development in Abuja, declaring that no sector or community will be left behind.
Speaking during a project inspection tour on Friday, Wike cited the renovation of over 60 schools as a clear indication of the government’s investment in education. He emphasized that under the Renewed Hope Agenda, the administration is prioritizing inclusive growth across all sectors.
Infrastructure at the Core of Development
Highlighting the importance of rural infrastructure, Wike pointed to the ongoing A2 to Pai Road project, now equipped with streetlights. “Road infrastructure is foundational,” he said. “It unlocks access to education, healthcare, markets, and security.”
Residents of Gwagwalada and Kwali Area Councils warmly welcomed the Minister during his visit, expressing strong support for both Wike and President Tinubu. Many praised the visible transformation of the capital city and surrounding satellite towns.
“The Renewed Hope Agenda is not just a slogan, it’s working,” one resident said. “We’re proud of what’s happening in Abuja under Wike’s leadership.”
Quality and Transparency in Project Delivery
Wike also addressed concerns over construction quality, assuring residents that contractors are held to the highest standards. “There’s no room for substandard work,” he said. “We’re delivering quality projects that meet the real needs of the people.”
‘Hope is Now a Reality’
Reaffirming his commitment, Wike noted that the positive response from Abuja residents serves as motivation for the administration to push further. “The joy of our people is the strongest indicator that the Renewed Hope Agenda is alive,” he said.
He added, “When leadership is focused and supportive, delivery becomes inevitable. We’re living the results every day.”
