This was contained in a communique issued after its regional meeting in Benin City, Edo State.

Reading the communique, Governor Hope Uzodimma stated that the PGF remains committed to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, expressing satisfaction with the improved coordination between federal and state governments.

The governors commended economic reforms such as fuel subsidy removal, exchange rate unification, and debt rationalisation, noting signs of recovery in economic indicators.

They emphasised the need to democratise growth through increased investments in food security, job creation, poverty eradication, MSMEs support, and social safety nets.

The forum reaffirmed the crucial role of state governments in driving economic renewal, pledging to deepen economic decentralisation as mandated by the Constitution to promote citizens’ welfare.

The governors also welcomed the rise in fiscal transfers to states and the growing investor confidence in Nigeria’s economy, noting that several APC-led states are attracting significant domestic and foreign investments.

They pledged to continue professionalising procurement processes, enhancing digital governance, and improving regulatory frameworks to drive productivity and inter-state competitiveness.

On security, the PGF commended security agencies for their efforts in safeguarding the nation, stressing support for community policing, grassroots intelligence, and increased investment in surveillance infrastructure and welfare of frontline personnel.

The communique reaffirmed APC as Nigeria’s most institutionally-coherent party with unmatched records in reforms, electoral victories, and national unity.

The governors resolved to uphold APC values by leveraging technology, innovation, and collaboration to transform Nigeria from the grassroots.

They urged Nigerians at home and abroad to rally behind President Tinubu for a more secure, inclusive, and progressive nation.

The forum also welcomed Pastor Umo Eno of Akwa Ibom State into its fold, noting that his decision reflected a growing national consensus on President Tinubu’s transformative policies.
