Deputy National Publicity Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Abdullahi Ibrahim, has strongly criticized the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, over what he described as continued interference in party affairs.

Naija News reports that Ibrahim voiced his concerns during an interview with Arise News on Wednesday.

Ibrahim Condemns Wike’s Conditions

Ibrahim faulted Wike’s decision to present six conditions ahead of the PDP’s forthcoming national convention. He described the move as unacceptable, especially since Wike is currently serving under the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

The PDP spokesman noted that while he once defended Wike’s opposition to the party’s zoning arrangement before the 2023 elections, the minister’s actions now undermine the party’s unity and public image.

Protecting PDP’s Integrity

According to Ibrahim, the PDP must resist blackmail and distractions to safeguard its reputation.

He said, “Why present six conditions? You are giving PDP demands while the entire country mocks us because of one person on the APC payroll. Enough is enough. We must draw the line; he cannot continue like this.”

Ibrahim further stressed that he had defended Wike more than any other party member in the past. However, he insisted that the time had come to put an end to such behavior.

“I have stood by him against the zoning formula in 2023. I have supported him in many battles. But a responsible person must stop at some point,” he concluded.
