Renowned Nigerian businessman, Obi Iyiegbu, popularly known as Obi Cubana, has called on young people to focus on personal growth and avoid unhealthy comparisons. Speaking to his followers, he emphasized that envy, jealousy, and unnecessary competition are major obstacles to progress.

Cubana stressed the importance of channeling energy into self-improvement rather than wasting time competing with others, whether online or offline. He encouraged youth to find inspiration in other people’s success stories and use them as motivation to work harder toward their own goals.

Rejecting Misconceptions About Wealth

Addressing common misconceptions, the entrepreneur dismissed the notion that all wealthy individuals engage in criminal activities. He noted that many Nigerians have built solid financial success through legitimate means, underscoring that opportunities are abundant for those willing to work diligently.

“Never feel intimidated by what you see online or in real life,” Cubana advised. “Let it inspire you to step up your game instead of fueling jealousy or gossip.”

Hard Work and Opportunity

He urged young people to actively seek out genuine opportunities, remain determined, and never let age discourage them from starting their journey to success. Cubana highlighted that persistence, discipline, and honesty remain the foundation of lasting achievements.

He further explained that wealth obtained through lawful means offers stability and peace of mind. By working hard and seizing the right chances, he said, anyone can achieve financial freedom without resorting to unethical practices.

A Timely Reminder

Cubana concluded with a motivational note, saying, “Opportunities abound; search for them and make the best use of them. Many people are living proof that wealth can be built legitimately. The time to start is now.”

His message comes as a timely reminder in an era where social media comparison often pressures young people into shortcuts that compromise integrity. Instead, Cubana’s call champions patience, consistency, and ethical ambition as the keys to sustainable success.
