Jibrin Restates Kwankwaso’s Position
Speaking on Channels Television’s Politics Today, Jibrin explained that discussions remain possible between Kwankwaso and President Bola Tinubu. He emphasized that they have not closed the doors on a potential alliance.
“As far as joining APC is concerned, his doors are open. Our doors are also open. Everything is a possibility,” Jibrin noted.
Political Moves Ahead of 2027
Kwankwaso, who contested the 2023 election against Tinubu, continues to feature in discussions about possible defections.
Although the talks slowed earlier, Jibrin clarified that Kwankwaso never ruled out the option.
Therefore, speculation about his next step still attracts attention as the 2027 race approaches.
Internal APC Dynamics in Kano
When asked what delays the move, Jibrin pointed to rival interests in Kano APC.
“Some players may block us because of personal ambitions, like governorship plans,” he explained.
Moreover, he stressed that the Kwankwasiyya Movement under Kwankwaso remains a decisive force in national politics.
Jibrin’s Links to Tinubu
Jibrin has visited President Tinubu several times.

“Well, I keep saying everything is a possibility,” he responded.
The lawmaker insisted he makes his own choices.
“At my age, I am old enough to take decisions for myself,” said the Kiru/Bebeji Constituency representative.
