Popular Afrobeats star, Stanley Omah Didia, widely known as Omah Lay, has confidently declared himself the greatest artiste of his generation.
The 28-year-old singer from Rivers State made this bold statement on Thursday night via a post on X (formerly Twitter).
According to the ‘Soso’ crooner, he may not have evidence now to back his claim, but believes his future achievements will prove it.
He wrote:
“HI GUYS! MY NAME IS OMAH LAY AND I AM THE GREATEST OF MY GENERATION, I DON’T HAVE PROOFS RIGHT NOW BUT THERE WILL BE A LOT IN THE FUTURE. THANKS. YOURS TRULY, BOY ALONE.”
Omah Lay shot to fame after dropping his debut EP Get Layd, featuring hits like Bad Influence and Lo Lo. Since then, he has remained one of Nigeria’s most streamed young artistes, enjoying massive local and international success.
Meanwhile, controversial singer, Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, has slammed fellow artiste Zlatan Ibile.
In a recent video, Portable accused Zlatan of refusing to speak up about the circumstances surrounding Mohbad’s death. He questioned Zlatan’s loyalty to the late singer, insisting that a true friend would have spoken out by now.
Portable challenged Zlatan to stop avoiding the issue and speak the truth.
