Popular Nollywood actress and activist, Hilda Dokubo, has slammed the Rivers State sole administrator, Vice Admiral Ibok-ette Ibas (retd.), for what she described as reckless governance.
In a viral video, Dokubo expressed anger over the N1.48 trillion budget signed by Ibas without input from any elected representatives or the public.
She questioned the allocation of N24 billion for new CCTV installations at the Government House, despite existing security systems, and also criticised the N30 billion earmarked for gunboats.
According to her, “Their so-called administrator, Vice Admiral Ibok-ette, retired, whatever his name is, unveiled a jaw-dropping 1.48 trillion budget. Not a dime of that budget passed through any elected officer. No debates, no public input, no transparency. Just one man, handpicked and imposed, waved a pen and signed away billions of our commonwealth.”
