Veteran Nigerian rapper, Eedris Abdulkareem, has raised concerns over the introduction of genetically modified organisms (GMO) in Nigeria, accusing President Bola Tinubu and American billionaire, Bill Gates, of endangering the health of Nigerians.

In a new track titled “Tinubu/Bill Gates GMO”, Abdulkareem warns against the adoption of GMO foods, describing them as hazardous to both human health and the environment.

According to the Jaga Jaga crooner, GMO seeds are harmful, rendering the soil infertile and posing serious health risks to consumers. He argued that any seed capable of damaging the land could also negatively impact the human body.

Abdulkareem criticized the idea of replacing organic agriculture with GMO practices, alleging a deliberate attempt by powerful figures to undermine Nigeria’s food system. He called on First Lady Remi Tinubu to remind the President of the importance of preserving organic farming for the benefit of future generations.

He also linked the issue to national security, stressing that the ongoing insurgency and terrorism must be tackled to allow farmers to return to their land and continue cultivating organic crops.

In his lyrics, Abdulkareem stated:

“GMO is a big-time poison. Any soil it’s planted in loses its ability to reproduce. What kind of seed destroys both the land and the body? If it damages the soil, it can destroy human organs too. President Tinubu, we want our organic food. Tell Bill Gates to take GMO elsewhere.”

He further appealed to the First Lady:

“Mrs. Remi Tinubu, please remind your husband that the time has come to end insurgency and terrorism in Nigeria. Our farmers need to return to their land and grow natural, organic food. We don’t need GMO – it’s poisonous. Nigerians must be vigilant.”
