
In a landmark move, the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), South West region, on Thursday, May 22, 2025, conferred its first-ever “Knight of Faith” title on business mogul and philanthropist, Aare Adetola Emmanuelking.
The honour celebrates his unwavering commitment to Christianity, nation-building, and impactful leadership in business and community development.
The investiture, themed “Celebrating Distinction and Faithful Stewardship,” took place at the Garden of Faith, Abeokuta. It also featured the induction of other respected Nigerians as Distinguished Patrons of CAN.
Among the honourees were:
Inspector General of Police, Dr. Kayode Egbetokun
Deputy Comptroller General of Customs, Barr. Olaniyi Alajogun
Gospel music icon, Sir Evangelist Prof. Ebenezer Obey-Fabiyi (MFR)
The event was chaired by CAN South West Chairman, Bishop Tunde Akin-Akinsanya. His Excellency, Prince Dapo Abiodun, CON, Governor of Ogun State, was represented by the Secretary to the State Government, Hon. Tokunbo Talabi.
Notably, several dignitaries attended. These included the Commissioner for Environment, Hon. Ola Oresanya; Ogun State Commissioner of Police, CP Olanrewaju Ogunlowo; Royal Fathers; CAN President, His Grace Most Rev’d Dr. Daniel Okoh; and CAN State Chairmen from across the country.
Empowerment, Worship, and a Divine Charge
The spiritually charged ceremony was rich in content. It featured gospel music, intercessory prayers, and the official decoration of awardees. A key highlight was the empowerment segment. Here, Aare Emmanuelking donated a plot of land from Adron Homes to the winner, reaffirming his commitment to economic empowerment.
In his acceptance speech, he expressed deep humility and gratitude to God. He also dedicated the award to the entire Christian community.
“This is not just an honour but a divine call,” he said. “We are all charged to lead with integrity, love, and excellence. In these times, the world needs more light-bearers. Let us shine boldly for Christ.”
He further urged Christians to remain unshaken in faith. According to him, believers must intentionally push Kingdom values across every sector of society.
The newly unveiled “Knight of Faith” sash now stands as a symbol of spiritual distinction and leadership. This milestone reaffirms CAN South West’s mission to celebrate those who live out Christ-like values and contribute to national development.
