Refreshing and sizzling pop diva Ashny makes history as the first Nigerian female artiste to release a bold double EP.
Ashny aka Char Char aka The Jaguar with a charm aka Fresh Fish Forever released her second studio album ‘Femme Fatale’ on december 1st 2024 to great reviews and accolades. The album which had engaging and fan favourites like ‘Fuego’, ‘Dance Away’, ‘Fine’, ‘In My Feelings’ and the moster hit ‘If No Be You’ had barely settled in the dust of success when six months later she is dropping two EP’s namely H.O.E [Hustle Over Everything] and Ashny Swings Her Hips.
H.O.E is a body of work dedicated to the streets, a definition for sounds that connect with the everyday people. Songs in this project include Komije[Talk Of The Town], Squander, Lingerie, Gbese featuring Ajanaku and Karamo featuring Kelty.
Ashny Swings Her Hips is a contemporary fusion of pop, highlife and Afrosoul and includes songs like Gbeyo, Sekere, Aura, Gbogbonise and Jomijo, inspired by Beautiful Nubia.
