Alvaro Morata has made it clear that he won’t stay at Galatasaray if the club lets Super Eagles star Victor Osimhen leave without signing a proper replacement, Soccernet.ng reports.

The Spanish striker joined the Turkish champions on loan from AC Milan and is expected to remain until January 20, 2026. Galatasaray brought him in to cover for Mauro Icardi, who suffered a season-ending injury earlier this campaign.

Since arriving in February, Morata has developed a strong bond with Osimhen, who came on loan from Napoli. The pair have been spotted performing the “cim bom bom” ritual, showing their on-field chemistry and growing friendship.

Morata has also praised Osimhen in interviews, calling him one of the best forwards in the world.
“Osimhen is a great person and one of the best centre forwards in the world,” Morata told Sports Digitale.
“I hope we will all celebrate the championship together. This is an incredible country, my family is very happy here, and I want it to continue like this.”

According to Turkish outlet Sabah, Morata informed Galatasaray’s management that he won’t leave unless they sign a strong replacement for Osimhen. He reportedly said, “If you don’t replace Osimhen, I’ll stay at Galatasaray.”

Osimhen’s loan deal ends this season. Morata’s stance suggests he’s ready to continue leading the line if the club fails to bring in a quality striker.

Since arriving in Istanbul, the former Real Madrid man has scored four goals in eight Super Lig matches. He has quickly become a key figure in the squad. With Osimhen’s future unclear and no replacement lined up, Morata’s role at the club remains uncertain as the January 2026 loan expiry approaches.
