Nigerian music star Abolore Akande, popularly known as 9ice, has celebrated his colleague, Innocent Idibia, also called 2Baba, as he turned 50.
According to Naija News, the Gongo Aso crooner took to Instagram on Thursday to felicitate with the African Queen hitmaker, praising his remarkable journey in the music industry.
However, while congratulating him, 9ice issued a heartfelt caution, reminding 2Baba that not everyone is genuinely happy about his success. He noted that some individuals secretly wish for the singer’s downfall but assured that his talent and legacy would always keep him ahead.
“2Face, happy birthday to you. I wish you long life and prosperity. I know many wish you fall, but you shall never fall. You shall prosper. It’s just a phase of life, and you will always overcome it. God bless you,” 9ice wrote.
He further emphasized that envy and jealousy naturally follow greatness, yet 2Baba’s influence in African music will continue to endure.
Meanwhile, Edo lawmaker Natasha Osawaru also celebrated her husband, 2Baba, on his golden jubilee. Sharing a playful post on Instagram, she teased that despite being 20 years older, he still looks younger than her.
2Baba, one of Nigeria’s most celebrated singers, officially marked his 50th birthday on September 18, 2025.
