Nigerian music icon, 2Baba, has stirred widespread concern after a short-lived Instagram Story bearing the words “Help me” appeared on his account. Although the post was quickly deleted, it drew intense reactions online, especially as it came amid reports of ongoing tension in his marriage to Natasha Osawaru.

The message triggered alarm among fans, colleagues and close associates, many of whom linked it to the couple’s recent public disagreements. Multiple media reports have confirmed that the marriage has faced sustained challenges, with the crisis first gaining public attention after an incident in the United Kingdom. The reported altercation allegedly led to police involvement and a brief detention of the singer.

Tensions were further exposed when 2Baba and Natasha appeared together on an Instagram Live session hosted by Daddy Freeze. The heated exchange during the broadcast, which later circulated widely online, fueled speculations about the depth of their marital issues. Against this backdrop, the sudden appearance of the “Help me” post heightened public anxiety.

Following the backlash, 2Baba released a video to address the situation. He assured the public that he was safe and appealed for restraint, stressing that he did not personally share the controversial post. He warned that unchecked speculation could put his wife at risk and urged Nigerians to allow the couple handle their issues privately.

Despite the clarification, concern continued to grow. The singer’s younger brother, Hyacinth Idibia, posted a cryptic but emotional message online, quoting lyrics from one of 2Baba’s songs and suggesting that his brother had endured prolonged hardship. The post further intensified public interest.

Singer Teni also weighed in, calling on fellow celebrities to reach out to 2Baba. In a video message, she said the situation deserved urgent attention, a reaction that pushed the matter further into public discourse.

Entertainment platforms report that while the exact cause of the couple’s dispute remains unclear, the confirmed events include the UK incident, the public Instagram Live confrontation and 2Baba’s recent plea for calm. There has been no official confirmation of domestic violence, nor any report of an active investigation. Aside from 2Baba’s video response, both parties have largely remained silent.

Although many questions remain unanswered, the deleted Instagram Story has become a central focus of public discussion due to its timing and the sensitive nature of the ongoing marital crisis. Fans, industry colleagues and commentators continue to call for support, transparency and a peaceful resolution.

For now, observers await further clarification from either 2Baba or Natasha, as the singer has appealed for reduced speculation while the situation continues to unfold.
