Tinubu Revived Security, Agriculture in North-West — Gov. Uba Sani

Tinubu Revived Security, Agriculture in North-West — Gov. Uba Sani

Kaduna State Governor Uba Sani says President Bola Tinubu has restored security in the north-west and revived farming activities previously disrupted by terrorism.

Speaking during the APC North-West Stakeholders’ Meeting in Kaduna on Saturday, Sani said the region, once plagued by terrorism, banditry, and kidnappings, has seen major progress since Tinubu took office.

“Before President Tinubu came in 2023, this zone was the hub of violent crimes. Travelling was dangerous, and farmers couldn’t access their lands. Life was harsh and hopeless,” he recalled. “But two years into his tenure, the situation has improved significantly.”

Sani, who also coordinates APC activities in the region, credited the transformation to Tinubu’s rural development agenda and security reforms.

“Beyond restoring peace, the president has revived agriculture by providing farm inputs,” he added.

The governor noted that the north-west has gained key positions under Tinubu, including 12 federal ministers, the speaker of the House of Representatives, the deputy Senate president, and the chief of defence staff.

“There are many more appointments I can’t list due to time constraints,” he said.

Highlighting infrastructural gains, Sani mentioned major road projects like the Abuja-Kaduna-Zaria-Kano dual carriageway, Birnin Gwari-Kaduna road, and Jere-Kafanchan road.

He also cited federal initiatives such as the establishment of the North West Development Commission, N95 billion rehabilitation of three Kano dams, and the creation of the Ministry of Livestock Development.

Other achievements include the founding of the Federal University of Applied Sciences in Kachia and the upgrade of Patrick Yakowa General Hospital in Kafanchan to a federal medical centre.

“With these strides, the APC has become the preferred party in the region,” Sani said, urging stakeholders to rally grassroots support for Tinubu’s second-term bid.

“President Tinubu is committed to rebuilding our economy, ending hunger and poverty, and restoring Nigeria’s global standing,” he declared.
