President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Friday met with the Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar III, at the Presidential Villa in Abuja, in a move reinforcing his administration’s drive for interfaith harmony and national cohesion.
The closed-door meeting comes as the Federal Government intensifies engagement with religious and traditional institutions to strengthen dialogue, social trust, and unity across the country.
According to Presidency sources, the discussion formed part of the President’s ongoing consultations with key moral and cultural figures on measures to consolidate peace, foster national integration, and tackle emerging social challenges.
Officials added that the visit aligns with Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, which prioritizes inclusivity and interfaith understanding as central to sustaining stability and promoting a sense of shared national identity.
