Priscilla Ojo, daughter of Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo, has alleged that the fire incident which razed her mother’s Lagos office on Tuesday was not accidental but a targeted attack.

The influencer revealed on Instagram that weeks before the fire, during her wedding celebrations in Tanzania, her family received a threat letter warning them of an impending attack. Priscilla recently tied the knot with Tanzanian singer Juma Jux in a lavish multi-day wedding tagged JP2025.

Sharing videos of the damaged office showing burnt furniture and smoke-stained walls, she wrote: “This just happened today, the 8th of July 2025, around 7 pm. My office building caught fire.”

The typed letter, allegedly signed by an anonymous group called ‘Aggrieved Group,’ threatened to ruin Priscilla’s marriage and claimed the family was under surveillance.

Part of the letter read:

“You put someone in trouble and you’re out enjoying giving your daughter in marriage, right? O ma laya o. You can’t escape in the next three months, as we are out monitoring you. We shall render your daughter married useless and rubbish, and scatter it. That your daughter will not enjoy her marriage. We were there on that wedding day. Watch and see.”

Priscilla said the letter was delivered to her mother’s office on May 24, but Iyabo Ojo did not read it until her return from Tanzania. She noted that increased CCTV surveillance has now been mounted at their home and office to assist police investigations.

She added: “The unfortunate incident of yesterday, 8th July 2025, is their Plan B as their plans to ruin JP2025 failed woefully. This is deep. So many questions are begging for answers. But you can’t silence my mother with threats and criminal acts. God is stronger than any evil, and time will tell.”

This is not the first threat the family has faced in recent months. In June, Iyabo Ojo had a public spat with Tanzanian blogger Mange Kimambi, who accused Priscilla and her husband of distracting the public with their wedding during the country’s election season.

Iyabo defended her daughter, writing: “Calling their content stupid and trying to drum up fear and intimidation is unacceptable. Keep my daughter out of your affairs. She is very loved and well-loved. We protect our own.”
