Odumodublvck Urges Nigerians to Hold All Leaders Accountable, Not Just Tinubu
Nigerian rapper Tochukwu Ojogwu, popularly known as Odumodublvck, has cautioned citizens against blaming President Bola Tinubu alone for the country’s challenges, urging Nigerians to also question leaders at other levels of government.
Speaking on the BET Talks podcast, the rapper described Nigeria’s political system as chaotic and plagued by corruption and selfish interests, which, he said, often undermine even well-intentioned leaders.
Odumodublvck noted that once individuals attain political power, the people surrounding them can either strengthen or corrupt their leadership. He lamented that many Nigerians fail to hold their local representatives accountable, focusing all criticism solely on the President.
> “Politics in Nigeria is a shambolic scene like everywhere in the world. When you give a man power, it never really goes as planned — whether he is good or bad,” he said. “If the person is bad, bad people will make him worse. If he is good, bad people will try to contaminate the good.”
The rapper emphasized that governance involves more than just the President, pointing out that local government chairmen, councillors, and senators also have critical roles in addressing community issues.
He called on Nigerians to redirect their frustrations toward all elected officials, insisting that accountability must start at every level of government, not just from the top.
