Nigeria Will Overcome Banditry, Tinubu Assures Citizens

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has commended the governor of Kebbi State for project execution and naming the ultramodern secretariat.

He commended the emir of Argungu and the sultan of Sokoto for their patience to honour him at the grand final of the Argungu International Fishing Festival.

“Very good show and remarkable history; the fishing festival endured for many years. It represents our culture.”

Tinubu commended the organisers of the event, describing Governor Idris as a team leader, saying it has propelled the state to tourism.

He reaffirmed his government’s commitments to end insecurity in Nigeria.

“We will win the war against any form of banditry in the country; farmers will return to their farms across the country.”

He pledged to assist Kebbi State to achieve food sufficiency across the country through massive support in agriculture.

The president also reaffirmed his commitments to food sufficiency and the use of renewable energy to generate electricity in the state.

In his welcome address, the governor of Kebbi State, Dr Nasir Idris, thanked the president for visiting Kebbi
