Fans of the popular reality television show, Big Brother Naija (BBNaija), can look forward to an exciting new season as MultiChoice Nigeria has announced that Season 10 will premiere on July 26, 2025. The upcoming edition will kick off with a double launch event.
During a media briefing on Wednesday, organisers revealed that this year’s winner will receive an unprecedented ₦150 million grand prize – the highest in the show’s history since its inception in 2006.
Ebuka Returns as Host
Renowned media personality Ebuka Obi-Uchendu will return as the host, maintaining his role since 2017. Speaking at the event, Ebuka expressed his enthusiasm for the new season, describing BBNaija as a cultural phenomenon.
“It’s been an incredible journey with 197 housemates, 709 days of broadcast, and ₦637 million awarded in total prize money,” he noted.
Last season, themed “No Loose Guard,” featured a unique twist where contestants auditioned and entered the house in pairs before competing individually as the show progressed. That edition ended with Kellyrae, a married contestant, making history as the first married housemate to win BBNaija, taking home the then-record ₦100 million prize.
For Season 10, MultiChoice reintroduced physical auditions held across selected venues between May 16 and 18, returning to the traditional format after several virtual audition seasons.
Organisers promise that this year’s edition will deliver more drama, unexpected twists, and thrilling entertainment, with surprises in store for both fans and housemates.
Busola Tejumola, Executive Head of Content and West Africa Channels at MultiChoice, described this season as the “biggest and boldest yet,” affirming the company’s commitment to delivering premium content.
“We’ve pulled out all the stops to make this a memorable season. From production quality to content delivery, BBNaija Season 10 will exceed expectations,” she said.
