In a continued effort to uplift public education and promote sustainability, the Lagos State Signage and Advertisement Agency (LASAA) has extended its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme to four public primary schools in Ikorodu through the second phase of its “Back to School Storm” initiative.

The schools visited include Methodist Primary School and Anglican Primary School in Igbogbo, as well as Etunrenren and Muslim Primary School in central Ikorodu. Pupils received essential school materials including exercise books, writing supplies, and school bags innovatively crafted from repurposed advertising banners—demonstrating LASAA’s commitment to environmental sustainability.

The initiative, led by LASAA’s Managing Director, Prince Fatiu Akiolu, is in line with the agency’s support for Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s T.H.E.M.E.S Plus development agenda, which places strong emphasis on education, youth development, and social impact.

Prominent members of LASAA’s leadership team, including Mr. Gbolahan Oloko (Director of Administration and Human Resource), Mr. Adegbolahan Dixon (Head of Operations and Innovation), Mrs. Atinuke da-Silva-Osadjere (Head of Corporate Communications and Strategy), and Mrs. Titilope Raheem (Head of Legal Department), were on hand to engage with pupils and school staff during the outreach.

The CSR project was carried out in partnership with the Omo Daada Foundation, under the leadership of Honourable Omoniyi Dada. In addition, Dufil Prima Foods played a crucial sponsorship role by providing supplementary school items and nutritious lunch packs, enhancing the humanitarian value of the programme.

During the event, LASAA MD Prince Fatiu Akiolu reaffirmed the agency’s long-term commitment to supporting more schools across Lagos, with a vision to foster academic growth and nurture future leaders.

Honourable Sesan Daini, Chairman of the Igbogbo-Baiyeku Local Council Development Area (LCDA), praised LASAA for its impactful gesture, calling for continued investment in children’s education and wellbeing.

Adding a unique touch to the event, Honourable Gbolahan Ogunleye, Member of the Lagos State House of Assembly representing Ikorodu I and Chairman of the House Committee on Sustainable Development Goals and Overseas Investment, donated table tennis equipment to the schools. He urged administrators to prioritise extracurricular activities that support pupils’ physical, emotional, and intellectual development.

With initiatives like the “Back to School Storm,” LASAA reinforces its dedication to social impact, youth empowerment, and sustainable educational development across Lagos State.
