Nigerian music sensation, Kizz Daniel, has released his latest extended play (EP) titled Lemon Chase, describing it as a heartfelt body of work and not just another project in his discography.
Speaking about the new release, the Buga hitmaker revealed that Lemon Chase, a seven-track EP, is more than a prelude to his forthcoming album Uncle K. According to him, the project explores universal themes such as love, heartbreak, peace, and celebration, elements he believes every listener can relate to.
“This EP isn’t just business as usual,” Kizz Daniel shared. “It’s a reflection of real-life experiences, mine and those of people around me. Every track carries its own weight, its own emotion.”
Known for his signature blend of infectious melodies and relatable storytelling, Kizz Daniel once again proves his versatility and growth as an artiste. Lemon Chase delivers a fusion of familiar Afrobeats vibes and refreshing new sounds, all wrapped in his smooth, soulful delivery.
Currently streaming on all major platforms, Lemon Chase offers fans a taste of what to expect in Uncle K, which the Flyboi Inc. boss teased as his most ambitious project yet.
“When life gives you lemons, you make lemonade out of it,” he said. “I wanted this project to feel like real life, sweet, sour, confusing, beautiful. This is music for your heart, for when you’re healing, or hoping, or remembering. I just wanted it to be honest, authentic and true to self.”
The extended play features an impressive lineup of guest artistes, including five-time Grammy winner Angelique Kidjo, Johnny Drille, Bella Shmurda, Odumodu Blvck, Zlatan, and Fola.
The lead single Police, featuring Johnny Drille and Angelique Kidjo, has already gained traction and is being tipped by music critics as a potential contender for the Best African Music Performance category at the next Grammy Awards.
