Juventus have intensified their efforts to sign Super Eagles star Victor Osimhen, with a formal bid reportedly in the pipeline, according to Soccernet.ng. The Serie A heavyweights are targeting the Napoli striker as their marquee signing ahead of the 2025/26 season.
Reports from Italy suggest the Bianconeri are preparing an offer worth around €85 million, including add-ons, to convince Napoli to part ways with their prized forward. Osimhen is being eyed as a potential replacement should Dusan Vlahovic or Randal Kolo Muani exit the club this summer.
The Nigerian striker renewed his contract with Napoli last summer before being loaned to Turkish side Galatasaray, where he has netted an impressive 33 goals in 37 appearances. His current contract includes a €75 million release clause, but crucially, it applies only to foreign clubs, meaning Juventus would need to negotiate directly with Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis.
This could prove tricky, as tensions remain between De Laurentiis and Juve’s sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli, a former Napoli executive. Despite the rocky relationship, Juventus are pressing ahead, although Osimhen’s hefty €11 million annual net salary could be a stumbling block.
Saudi Giants Enter the Race with Mega Offer
Meanwhile, Saudi Arabian powerhouse Al-Hilal have entered the fray with a mammoth €100 million package. The deal would see Napoli receive €75 million for Osimhen and €25 million for Cameroonian midfielder André-Frank Zambo Anguissa. Al-Hilal are also reportedly offering Osimhen a staggering €30–35 million per year, potentially making him one of the world’s highest-paid players. A reunion with former Napoli teammate Kalidou Koulibaly could further entice the striker.
Lookman on Standby as Plan B
Should Juventus fail in their Osimhen pursuit, they are reportedly considering Atalanta’s Nigerian winger Ademola Lookman as a backup option. Valued at €50 million, Lookman has already drawn interest from Juventus, who have begun probing Atalanta’s willingness to sell.
With strong interest from both Europe and the Middle East, the battle for Victor Osimhen promises to be
