Big Brother Naija star Ijeoma Josephina Otabor, popularly known as Phyna, has reacted to rumours linking her romantically with content creator Kolu.
The speculation followed several livestream appearances on platforms such as Twitch, where Phyna and Kolu shared playful moments that sparked online conversations. Clips showing forehead kisses, linked arms, and teasing exchanges quickly went viral.
However, Phyna dismissed claims of a romantic relationship, explaining that their interactions were meant purely for fun and entertainment. She said she has since asked Kolu to respect boundaries, stressing that any future public appearances would be strictly as friends.
The former BBNaija winner also expressed surprise at reports suggesting Kolu had developed deeper feelings, noting that she viewed their time together as lighthearted.
“I have told Kolu to stay away from me. So, when next you see us together, it means he has agreed to be just friends,” she said.
She added, “If Kolu was with Carter Efe, he would be receiving hot slaps. So I decided to show him love from my side.”
The rumours intensified after Carter Efe jokingly claimed during a livestream that Phyna and Kolu were dating. He also alleged that Kolu bought a new car for Phyna, an assertion Kolu later denied, saying the purchase was linked to a personal heartbreak, not the BBNaija star.
