LAGOS – The Managing Director/CEO of Fidelity Bank Plc, Dr. Nneka Onyeali-Ikpe, OON, has called on women to embrace continuous learning, mentorship, and collaboration as vital tools for breaking professional barriers and achieving long-term career success.
She made the call during a special Women’s Roundtable event held at the Fidelity SME Hub in Gbagada, Lagos, under the theme “Mentorship with Dr. Nneka Onyeali-Ikpe.”
The interactive session, which forms part of the bank’s HerFidelity Proposition—an initiative focused on empowering female entrepreneurs and professionals—attracted women from diverse sectors.
Highlighting the importance of HerFidelity, Dr. Onyeali-Ikpe said the programme was developed to offer women comprehensive support beyond just financial aid.
“While women across industries possess the talent and ambition to succeed, many still face barriers to funding, skills development, wellness, and networking. HerFidelity bridges this gap through capital access, capacity building, wellness initiatives, and entrepreneurial support,” she explained.
Sharing her personal journey and professional insights, the Fidelity MD encouraged aspiring women leaders to be courageous, take smart risks, and build meaningful relationships.
“Believe in yourself, work hard, and never underestimate the power of collaboration. No one achieves success alone,” she advised.
The event also featured fun activities and giveaways, with participants going home with exciting gifts courtesy of Fidelity Bank.
Dr. Onyeali-Ikpe’s inspiring mentorship session further cemented Fidelity Bank’s reputation as a strong advocate for women’s empowerment and leadership development in Nigeria.
