Fidelity Bank Plc has extended its flagship savings initiative, Get Alert in Millions (GAIM) Season 6, for another three months, increasing the total prize pool from ₦159 million to ₦189 million. The extension, announced in September 2025, underscores the bank’s commitment to promoting financial inclusion and empowering Nigerians amid ongoing economic reforms.
Nigeria’s economy continues to grapple with inflation, currency fluctuations, and limited access to formal banking. The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has introduced several policies—including exchange rate unification and bank recapitalization—to stabilize the financial system and drive toward a $1 trillion economy.
Within this framework, Fidelity Bank’s GAIM 6 initiative supports the CBN’s Payment System Vision 2028, which emphasizes digital inclusion and broader access to financial services. The savings promo encourages Nigerians to adopt sustainable financial habits while bringing more citizens into the banking system.
Extension Aligns with World Savings Day 2025
The promo’s extension coincides with World Savings Day, observed annually on October 31. This year’s theme, “This Is Not a Savings Account,” encourages individuals to adopt innovative and disciplined saving practices.
Speaking on the development, Osita Ede, Fidelity Bank’s Divisional Head of Product Development, said the extension was a direct response to customer feedback.
“They asked for more opportunities to benefit from the promo, and we listened. With management and regulatory approval, we’re thrilled to extend GAIM 6 for another three months,” Ede stated.
Unlike many savings promos that target only high-income earners, GAIM 6 is open to all customers with a minimum savings of ₦2,000. It caters to diverse groups such as students, market women, civil servants, and NYSC members. Winners are chosen through electronic draws monitored by the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (FCCPC), ensuring transparency and fairness.
The campaign also integrates financial advisory support via the Fidelity SME Hub, helping winners make informed investment and business decisions with their prizes.
Participation in GAIM 6 is simple. Customers can open a Fidelity Savings Account through the mobile app, website, USSD code (77001#), or any branch. Every ₦5,000 saved qualifies for one entry into the monthly and grand draws. The final prizes include ₦10 million for the grand winner, ₦5 million for the first runner-up, and ₦2 million for the second runner-up.
The campaign also features themed draws to celebrate national events such as Workers’ Day, Children’s Day, and Independence Day, alongside campus and market activations nationwide.
Creating Millionaires and Driving Local Growth
With ₦47 million still up for grabs—₦30 million in monthly draws and ₦17 million in the grand draw—Fidelity Bank aims to create more millionaires before the end of the year. In recent draws, 20 lucky customers walked away with ₦1 million each, transforming their financial lives and contributing to local economic activity.
“A million naira can make a real difference,” Ede said. “We urge all beneficiaries to use their winnings wisely and take advantage of our advisory services to grow their funds.”
The GAIM 6 extension reinforces Fidelity Bank’s dedication to customer satisfaction and national economic progress. By encouraging savings and digital participation, the bank is helping to strengthen financial inclusion, boost consumer confidence, and inspire responsible money management across Nigeria.
As GAIM 6 moves into its final stage, Nigerians have an opportunity not just to win cash prizes, but also to build a culture of saving that secures their financial future.
