Yoruba Nollywood actor, Adams Kehinde, popularly known as Lege Miami, has alleged that the Cable News Network (CNN) invited him for an interview with the intention of embarrassing him.
Lege Miami, a staunch supporter of President Bola Tinubu and a close associate of Seyi Tinubu, made this claim in a video posted on his Instagram page.
The actor, who is often criticised for his poor English communication skills, said he declined the interview because he believed CNN wanted to ridicule him.
“I ran away. Nigerians, guess what. CNN invited me for an interview, but I ran away,” he said. “They want to disgrace me, they want to embarrass me. I can’t speak good English.”
Meanwhile, Lege Miami recently narrated how he walked out on a date after the lady ordered a meal beyond his budget. He revealed that while he ordered food worth ₦7,000, the lady requested a meal costing ₦40,000, which included large crabs and prawns he had never eaten before.
According to him, he left without hesitation as he could not afford to settle the bill. The video sparked mixed reactions from Nigerians, with many advising that people should date within their financial means.
