Political leaders, diplomats, and civil society representatives from Africa and Europe gathered in Palma de Mallorca, Spain, on 21 November 2025 for the Clevenard 2025 Seminar and Panel Discussion Forum, where outstanding contributors to global leadership and sustainable development were formally recognised.

Mrs. Neo Jane Masisi, former First Lady of Botswana and a former senior United Nations official, received the Women’s Empowerment & Global Social Development Leadership Award for her long-standing efforts to advance gender equity and social development in Botswana and across Africa—areas increasingly viewed as central to sustainable economic growth and political stability.

Ayoola Lawal, a leading figure in African diaspora engagement and former Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Committee of Diaspora Chairmen, was awarded the Global Impact Leadership & Diaspora Award. His work has focused on strengthening diaspora participation in governance, development financing, and transnational collaboration across Africa and Europe.

The forum also honoured Hon. Charles Gaëtan Xavier-Luc Duval, former Deputy Prime Minister and former Minister of Finance of Mauritius, with a Lifetime Achievement Award, recognising decades of leadership in public finance, economic reform, and regional development.

Additional recognitions were given to Dr. Morie Komba Manyeh, Sierra Leone’s High Commissioner to the United Kingdom, and Senator Linda Nxumalo of Eswatini, for their contributions to diplomacy, governance, and international development at a time of heightened global complexity.

Held at Calle Manacor 156 in Palma de Mallorca, the Clevenard 2025 Forum served as a platform for examining how leadership, inclusion, and cross-border cooperation can address persistent global challenges—from gender inequality to sustainable development—underscoring the growing role of values-driven leadership in shaping global outcomes.
