The All Progressives Congress (APC) in the North West Zone has declared unwavering support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s re-election in 2027. The party believes Tinubu’s chances are strong, especially as opposition parties struggle with internal crises.

This declaration came after a high-level stakeholders’ meeting in Kaduna on Saturday. Senator Uba Sani, Governor of Kaduna State and North West Coordinating Governor, read the communiqué at the end of the meeting.

The meeting attracted key political leaders from the region. These included APC National Chairman Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje, Speaker of the House Rt. Hon. Tajudeen Abbas, Deputy Senate President Barau Jibrin, and Governors of Kebbi and Jigawa States. Others in attendance were the Deputy Governor of Katsina, serving ministers, lawmakers, and top presidential aides from the zone.

Governor Sani explained that stakeholders assessed the party’s strength and the performance of public office holders. He stressed that the APC continues to dominate the political space in the North West.

“One of our major findings is the clear disunity in the opposition,” Uba Sani said. “But we must not relax. We must continue to deliver on our promises and strengthen public trust. If we stay focused, the opposition won’t recover.”

Tinubu Earns Vote of Confidence

The stakeholders gave President Tinubu a vote of confidence for his leadership and regional support. Speaker Abbas moved the motion, and Governor Nasir Idris of Kebbi seconded it. Party leaders applauded the President’s inclusive style and commitment to the North West.

Uba Sani highlighted Tinubu’s appointments and investments as proof of his dedication. He mentioned the appointment of 12 ministers from the zone, two service chiefs, and major funding for infrastructure, security, and agriculture.

The meeting ended with a strong call for unity and grassroots mobilization. Stakeholders emphasized the need for strategic planning as the party prepares for 2027.

“With unity and clear focus, the North West stands firmly behind President Tinubu,” Governor Sani stated. “We are confident that the APC will win again in 2027.”
