Adron Homes Denies Withholding Refund, Seeks Apology from FIJ

Adron Homes & Properties Ltd. has firmly rejected a report by the Foundation for Investigative Journalism (FIJ), which was published on May 22, 2025. The report claimed that the company failed to refund Mr. Solomon Oludare Akinbo after full payment for a plot at Treasure Park and Garden, Phase 2 in Shimawa, Ogun State.

According to Adron Homes, the report lacks credibility because FIJ did not contact the company for clarification before publication. Consequently, the story presents a distorted narrative that misleads the public.

Company Clarifies Plot Allocation Policy

Adron Homes explained that Mr. Akinbo received a provisional plot allocation, which aligned with his expressed intention to begin building. However, final allocation depends on a client’s written confirmation of readiness to build, a policy clearly outlined in the contract he signed. This process helps the company maintain orderly estate development and discourages land hoarding.

The company further stated that Mr. Akinbo requested assistance with his building project. Based on his request, he received a design and a Bill of Quantities. Contrary to the FIJ report, Adron Homes emphasized that clients are always free to choose any licensed builder. At no point did the company pressure Mr. Akinbo or his legal adviser into accepting its construction proposal.

On the refund issue, Adron Homes stressed that the procedure was never completed. As clearly stated in the contract, clients must submit a formal refund request, complete a Refund Form, and return all contractual documents. Despite multiple reminders, Mr. Akinbo and his representative failed to comply with these requirements.

Adron Homes expressed disappointment that FIJ chose to publish the report without proper investigation. Although FIJ claimed to have reached out, the company insists that its position was not reflected in the article. As a result, the public received only one side of the story.

In response, the company is demanding immediate removal of the article from FIJ’s platforms. It also seeks a written apology, a retraction, and a follow-up story that presents its side accurately.

Commitment to Service and Integrity

Despite the controversy, Adron Homes reaffirmed its dedication to transparency, client satisfaction, and ethical business practices.
