Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, has called on members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to remain calm amid the ongoing leadership crisis rocking the party at the national level.

In a statement issued on Wednesday by his spokesperson, Olawale Rasheed, the governor described the dispute as a “family affair” that would soon be resolved through collective efforts and dialogue among party stakeholders.

Adeleke expressed optimism that the PDP would overcome its current challenges and emerge stronger ahead of the forthcoming elections.

“I urge all members of our great party to stay calm and steadfast. We are cruising toward victory next year, and we must remain committed to rebuilding the PDP for renewed success,” he said.

He stressed that internal disagreements were not uncommon in a large political family, assuring members that consultations were ongoing to restore peace and unity within the party.

“The disagreement at the national level is purely an internal issue. I want to assure everyone, both at the state and national level, that it will soon be resolved,” Adeleke stated.

According to him, top party leaders are already engaging in constructive discussions to address the issues and strengthen the PDP’s internal cohesion.

The governor also directed local government and ward leaders in Osun State to intensify mobilisation efforts ahead of the 2026 governorship election.

“I urge our leaders across wards and local governments to begin massive mobilisation. The PDP remains the party to beat, and we will emerge stronger and better prepared,” Adeleke added.
