An All Progressives congress (APC) chieftain, Eze Chukwuemeka Eze, has urged the Africa Democratic Congress (ADC) to present a formidable front in order to wrest power from President Bola Tinubu.

Speaking via a statement on Wednesday, he urged the major political blocs in the ADC to be undiluted and united in one vision.

The APC chieftain warned that such a vision cannot be achieved if a house is divided against itself.

He condemned recent actions and utterances of the Obedient Movement, a political bloc loyal to former presidential candidate, Peter Obi.

Eze reflected on the sole cardinal objective upon which the ADC vision was conceptualised, which basically, he said, is to save Nigerians from the alleged shackles of bad governance, corruption, nepotism, and hunger, inflicted on Nigerians by the present Tinubu APC government.

Eze was reacting to a false statement ascribed to one of the political pillars of ADC, Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi, being circulated through various social media outlets.

He said that a statement out there credited to the former Rivers State Governor, praising Peter Obi is a false narrative, adding that his ally never made such a contraption.

“It was borne out of the fickle imagination of those wallowing in murky waters of illusion and desperation, who are out to blackmail and run down Amaechi and others,” he said.

“This act is not only unacceptable and reprehensible but totally condemnable. I do plead with Peter Obi to caution some members of his Obedient Movement that have decided that this strategy is the best to be adopted in the build up to picking the presidential candidate of the party.

“This is such an untoward practice and devious strategy that cannot fetch anyone the ADC ticket.

“The ADC Presidential ticket to the best of my knowledge and that of Nigerians is graciously open, there’s no doubt about that. It’s only a matter of time and everything will take shape. We must not be in a hurry to capsize our ship due personal aggrandizement.

“I therefore appeal to my brother, Peter Obi and his loyalists to exercise restraint, avoid desperation and blackmail of any magnitude and not to rock a cruise boat on a patriotic sail”, Eze cautioned
