The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has declared that Nigeria’s political renewal must start from the grassroots. On Friday in Abuja, the party unveiled its Road Map to Victory and the ADC Supporter’s Organization Nationwide (ADC-SON) Working Document.

The event also included the presentation of appointment letters and action plans for the 2026 FCT Area Council elections.

Deputy National Chairman Dr. Bamidele Ajadi, represented by Hon. Anie Gift, urged members to resist inducements from rival parties. He emphasised unity and resilience.

“ADC is my home, and as one we can achieve our goals. We must not allow small offers from opponents to lead us astray. Instead, we need to remain united and active,” Ajadi said.

He reminded members that real power lies at the grassroots.
“Those at the base create leaders in the National Assembly and the Villa. We must return to our wards and polling units. Mobilisation at this level is crucial because today’s national challenges affect everyone, even the elite,” he added.

ADC-SON: Driving the Vision

National Secretary of ADC-SON, Amb. Oguh Hyginus John, highlighted the group’s strategic role. He described ADC-SON as the engine of the party’s movement.

“We are a special purpose vehicle designed to complement the party’s mission. Our operations cover 35 states and the FCT. This reach proves the strength of our vision,” John explained.

He stressed that the roadmap gives structure to the party’s ambition.
“With this plan, committed leaders, and passionate members, ADC is ready to win all six FCT councils in 2026 and beyond,” he said confidently.

Support Groups as the Lifeblood

Dr. Moses Paul, the ADC’s chairmanship candidate for Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC), described support groups as vital to the party’s success.

“Support groups carry our message into villages, markets, and campuses. Without them, our vision is only an echo. With them, it becomes a strong chorus Nigerians can trust,” Paul declared.

He noted that trust remains the ultimate political currency.
“Our support groups embody ADC values in their communities. They engage families, youths, women, workers, and elders. They listen, empathise, and build connections that money cannot buy,” he explained.

Paul added that the groups defend democracy by safeguarding votes and protecting the people’s mandate.

Offering a Credible Alternative

With the unveiling of the ADC-SON action plan, party leaders expressed confidence in their ability to reclaim power from the grassroots.

They argued that unity, trust, and grassroots mobilisation will position ADC as a credible alternative in the 2026 elections.
