The Hunger Games actor Ethan Jamieson, 27, has been arrested on assault charges following an attack on three men in Raleigh, North Carolina, in the United States.
Jamieson was arrested after he allegedly attacked three men with a handgun, according to court documents obtained by the media.
The actor was arrested on April 8 on three felony charges of assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill, the documents said.
The Raleigh Police Department told PEOPLE that they were alerted to gunshots fired at 9:52 p.m., local time, on March 22. Upon arrival, they found the victim, “who reported that an unknown suspect riding an e-bike had fired a shot at their vehicle while they were driving.” Two other people were in the vehicle at the time, the police added.
The police said, “During the course of the investigation, detectives identified Ethan Jamieson (27) as the individual who discharged a single gunshot in the direction of the victims’ vehicle,” adding that the actor was then arrested and charged.
This marks the second arrest in the past year and a half for the actor, who gained recognition for his role as the male tribute from District 4 in The Hunger Games film.
Last year, in March, Jamieson was arrested in Raleigh for resisting a public officer, according to court documents. He was sentenced for the offence on March 26, just three days following the recent alleged assault.
