President Bola Tinubu has forwarded the name of Dr. Kingsley Tochukwu Udeh, the Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice of Enugu State, to the Senate for confirmation as a Minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

Udeh, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN), was recommended in a formal letter addressed to Senate President Godswill Akpabio and read during Tuesday’s plenary session.

In the letter, Tinubu described the nominee as a person of “proven integrity and competence,” expressing confidence that Udeh would make valuable contributions to his administration.

“I am pleased to forward to the Senate the nomination of Dr. Kingsley Tochukwu Udeh, Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN), for confirmation as Minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria,” the president wrote.

He urged the Senate to give the request its usual prompt consideration, extending his “highest regards” to the lawmakers.

Following the announcement, Senate President Akpabio referred the nomination to the Committee of the Whole for immediate screening and consideration.
