Reality TV star and entrepreneur Natacha “Tacha” Akide achieved an outstanding milestone by completing 145 makeovers in 24 hours during her Guinness World Record attempt. The event, hosted at the John Randle Centre for Yoruba Culture and History in Lagos, attracted huge attention from fans, celebrities, and beauty lovers.
The challenge formed part of the Tacha Beauty Festival, which ran from October 10 to 12, 2025. Although Tacha initially set a target of 150 makeovers, she completed 145 despite facing technical issues, including a brief power interruption during the early hours of the marathon.
Her makeover lineup featured a diverse range of models, showcasing various skin tones and body types. Notable participants included influencers such as Mitchy, Venita Akpofure, Wanni, and Handi. Each transformation was professionally documented with photos and runway presentations to meet Guinness World Records’ verification standards.
Several prominent figures graced the event in solidarity, including media personality Toke Makinwa, reality star Alex Unusual, former beauty queen Dabota Lawson, rapper Ice Prince, and the Special Adviser to the Lagos State Governor on Tourism, Idris Aregbe.
While awaiting official confirmation from Guinness World Records, Tacha’s attempt has already sparked widespread celebration across Nigeria’s entertainment and beauty industries.
Beyond breaking records, the project underscores Nigeria’s growing influence in global beauty and creative entrepreneurship. The Lagos State Government endorsed the initiative as part of efforts to promote local talent and spotlight the nation’s cultural innovation on the world stage.
