Nigerian street-hop singer, Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, has turned down a ₦100 million offer to engage in a physical fight with social media critic, Martins Otse, better known as VeryDarkMan (VDM).
According to Naija News, Portable insisted that he would only consider the challenge if paid a staggering ₦1 billion.
The feud between the two began after Portable publicly criticised VeryDarkMan for his frequent attacks on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration, accusing the online activist of disrespecting the Nigerian government.
Their dispute quickly escalated, leading to a heated exchange of words, online insults, and the release of diss tracks targeting one another.
In a viral video posted on Instagram, Portable dismissed the ₦100 million offer as inadequate, claiming that such sums are routinely gifted to him by fans.
“That ₦100 million, my fans give it to me. It’s too small for me to fight VDM. If anyone can drop ₦1 billion, I’ll fight him and beat him,” he said.
He added, “You’re scared of him, you can’t jail him, yet you’re asking me to fight someone you can’t even hold. Let them bring ₦1 billion, and I’ll take the fight.”
