A northern group, Arewa 19 Pyramid for Grassroots Development, has called on political stakeholders to stop distracting President Bola Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima from the task of governance.
Speaking at a press conference in Gombe on Saturday, the group’s convener, Ahmed Abdulraheem, stated that the Tinubu-Shettima leadership is on the right path towards prosperity and national development and should not be derailed by unnecessary political distractions.
Abdulraheem described their partnership as a symbol of inclusion, competence, and renewed focus on national growth.
“It is not yet time for politics. This administration still has time to deliver on its promises. Groups or individuals should not shift their focus from consolidating on the progress already made,” he said.
He urged Nigerians to remain united and prioritise national interest above politics.
“The time for elections will come. For now, it is time to serve the people and build a secure and prosperous nation. We must set aside distractions and support the leadership driving Nigeria forward,” he added.
Abdulraheem expressed concern over recent political speculations aimed at undermining Vice President Shettima’s role, warning that such moves were divisive and detrimental to national unity.
“Shettima has earned his place through years of sacrifice and dedication to Nigeria’s unity. Undermining him is a disservice to both the North and the entire nation,” he said.
He urged APC members to close ranks and work together, reaffirming that Arewa 19 Pyramid remains committed to supporting the Tinubu-Shettima administration in promoting unity, youth empowerment, and inclusive development across northern Nigeria and beyond.
