Reality TV star, Phyna, has shared that she is not interested in having children and would rather focus on raising pets.

Naija News reports that the former Big Brother Naija winner made this known during a recent livestream while speaking about how her thoughts on starting a family have changed as she gets closer to 30.

She explained that even though she is capable of having children, she does not feel drawn to motherhood. Instead, she said she would prefer to care for animals like cats and dogs.

Phyna, who is 28 years old, also spoke about why some women begin to feel more connected to pets as they grow older. According to her, this shift can happen when women reach their late twenties or thirties, especially if they do not see themselves settling down anytime soon.

She added that repeated heartbreak or failed relationships can also play a role, as some women begin to find comfort and companionship in animals during that stage of their lives.

She said, “I am not big on wanting to have a child, though. I am very fertile, in case you are thinking that way. I just want to be mum to a cat and a dog. I think the love for animals in women kicks in when you are approaching your 30s, some of them mid-30s, late 30s. Especially when you do not see yourself settling down.

“Maybe you have been through too many broken relationships. Women start to develop a likeness for pets. I think I am in that stage.”
