“The U.S. Embassy in Abuja and Consulate General in Lagos will be closed on Thursday, March 19 and Friday, March 20, 2026, in observance of the Eid-el-Fitr holiday.

Happy Eid-el-Fitr to all our friends and families in Nigeria and around the world who celebrate!” the statement read.

Earlier, the Federal Government had declared Thursday, March 19, and Friday, March 20, 2026, as public holidays to mark Eid-el-Fitr, which marks the end of Ramadan.
