Big Brother Naija season 7 winner Phyna says she no longer encourages people to audition for the reality show.
She made this known during a livestream on Twitch.
Phyna admitted the show can deliver fast fame and public attention.
However, she warned that the spotlight often fades after housemates exit the house.
She noted that viewers quickly shift loyalty every season.
Fans, according to her, move to new contestants and forget former stars.
The reality star said this pattern makes life difficult for ex-housemates.
Many struggle to keep the influence they enjoyed on television.
Phyna added that public perception has changed over the years.
She believes the respect attached to BBNaija status has dropped.
She challenged the idea that the show guarantees instant success.
Life after the programme, she stressed, is rarely smooth.
The media personality also spoke about hidden post-show pressure.
Social media may display glamour, but the truth looks different.
For this reason, Phyna urged aspiring contestants to think deeply.
She asked them to understand the mental and financial demands of fame.
Quoting her experience, she said:
“The fan base remains the same and only jumps from one person to another. Nothing feels fresh again.”
She continued:
“People no longer value BBNaija stars like before. Many assume we achieve automatic success, but that belief is false.”
Phyna concluded with a strong remark:
“The show has lost credibility compared to earlier years. Today, when you mention BBNaija, people hardly rate you the same.”
