The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Osun State has announced key dates for the remaining activities under Phase One of the Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) exercise.
The update, issued on Saturday by Public Affairs Officer Musa Olurode on behalf of Resident Electoral Commissioner Dr. Mutiu Agboke, followed a directive from INEC’s national headquarters. According to the Commission, the timeline aligns with the national schedule for the ongoing CVR.
INEC said the Phase One exercise will run until December 10, 2025, giving eligible residents the chance to register, update their information, or confirm their voter records ahead of future elections.
The Commission added that the printing of the Preliminary Register of Voters is scheduled for December 13–14, 2025. This step is meant to prepare for the mandatory public display of the register.
The display for claims and objections will hold from December 16 to 21 across the 30 local government offices in the state. INEC encouraged voters to check their details and submit any corrections during the seven-day window, stressing that public scrutiny is essential to maintaining an accurate voter database.
Complaints arising from the display will be received and processed on December 21, while approved corrections will be updated in the register on December 22.
INEC also announced that Phase Two of the CVR exercise will begin on January 5, 2026, and urged eligible citizens who have yet to register or update their information to participate.
The Commission reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening Nigeria’s electoral process and advised the public to rely on official channels for verified information.
