“It is with a heavy heart that I followed the reports of the devastating explosion along the Bida–Agaie highway, which claimed about 35 lives. Our thoughts and prayers are with my brother, Governor Mohammed Bago, the government, and people of Niger State, as well as the families affected,” the Lagos governor said.

Sanwo-Olu, who also chairs the South-West Governors’ Forum, prayed for the repose of the deceased and strength for their families to endure the painful loss. He also wished the injured victims a speedy recovery.
