Victor Osimhen scored his first goal of the season as Galatasaray crushed Kayserispor 4-0 at the Kadir Has Stadium on Sunday night.
The Nigerian striker struck in the 86th minute, latching onto Nicolò Zaniolo’s sharp pass to seal the result. Earlier, defender Evren Eren Elmalı netted twice before Leroy Sané added a stoppage-time strike.
The goal was a special moment for Osimhen, who completed a high-profile move from Napoli to Galatasaray this summer. After missing the opening game and coming off the bench in the second, he delivered on his first start.
Sané’s Praise for Osimhen
German winger Leroy Sané, who scored his debut goal for Galatasaray in the match, praised Osimhen’s quality after the win. The former Manchester City star noted that Osimhen and Mauro Icardi now give the champions two proven strikers capable of leading them to more success.
“Very good,” Sané said, describing Osimhen’s performance with admiration.
Galatasaray’s Ambition With Osimhen
Osimhen, 26, impressed during his loan spell last season, scoring 37 goals and providing eight assists. His heroics powered Galatasaray to the Süper Lig and Turkish Cup titles.
Now a permanent signing, he is expected to spearhead the Yellow-Reds’ attack as they target more domestic trophies and a strong run in Europe. Fans believe his partnership with Icardi, supported by Sané, could deliver another historic season.
