Fantasyland 3.0: A Celebration of Joy and Learning

The event, themed Fidelity Fantasyland 3.0, took place at the Fidelity Grounds in Oniru, Lagos. It welcomed hundreds of students, parents, and teachers for a day filled with fun and inspiration.

Children enjoyed activities such as dancing contests, arcade games, singing competitions, and face painting. These fun moments created lasting memories while reinforcing the importance of education.

Unveiling the ‘Read2Lead’ Anthology
A major highlight was the launch of the Read2Lead Anthology, a collection of superhero-themed essays. These stories were written by 30 finalists chosen from over 3,000 young participants nationwide.

Each essay, inspired by the theme Naija Superheroes, showcased the creativity and storytelling power of Nigerian youths. The anthology is part of Fidelity Bank’s literacy drive to boost reading and writing skills among children.

Dr. Onyeali-Ikpe: “Education Transforms Lives”

Speaking at the event, Dr. Nneka Onyeali-Ikpe, Managing Director and CEO of Fidelity Bank, praised the children’s efforts.

“This is more than a competition,” she said. “It’s a celebration of creativity, vision, and hard work. Through Read2Lead, we gave children access to books, writing tools, and platforms to express themselves.”

She added that the anthology reflects the promise of Nigeria’s future leaders. “Each story is a seed, one filled with hope, wisdom, and potential.”

As part of the day’s events, Fidelity Bank awarded ₦150,000 scholarships to four exceptional pupils. The recipients were Thiago Chukwudubem Agada, Nabeela Nia Rufai, Victory Alize Chukwuebuka, and Osinachi Olivia Onyeaghala.

These awards came through the Fidelity Savings Loyalty Scheme (FSLS). They further underline the bank’s dedication to supporting academic excellence and youth empowerment.

The Read2Lead initiative forms part of the bank’s long-term vision for youth development. By promoting literacy and leadership at a young age, Fidelity Bank helps build a better future.

With over 9.1 million customers, Fidelity Bank continues to expand through digital innovation and customer service. It operates 255 business offices across Nigeria and also runs a UK subsidiary, FidBank UK Limited.

In 2024, the bank received several prestigious awards. These include:

Excellence in Digital Transformation & MSME Banking (BusinessDay BAFI Awards)

Most Innovative Mobile Banking Application (Global Business Outlook)

Most Innovative Investment Banking Service Provider (Global Brands Magazine)

Best Bank for SMEs in Nigeria (Euromoney Awards)

Export Financing Bank of the Year (BusinessDay BAFI Awards)

The Fidelity Fantasyland 3.0 event blended fun with purpose. It inspired children, celebrated talent, and highlighted the role of education in nation-building.

With initiatives like Read2Lead, Fidelity Bank proves that investing in young minds is key to building a brighter Nigeria.
